The Healthy Mummy Challenge

Are you looking to lose weight but don’t know where to start? Then this healthy mummy challenge might be just what you’re looking for!

This 12-Week Healthy Mummy Challenge will show you how to lose weight without dieting, by eating healthier food choices and fitting in exercise into your busy day all while running the busy family schedule.

This challenge focuses on a healthy lifestyle change rather than a diet. As we all know a diet as such cannot be sustained. Rather if you change your mindset and habits and look at this as a lifestyle change, this is where you can sustain this way of healthy living for the long term and get so much more out of it.

The Healthy Mummy Challenge is breastfeeding and family-friendly and is used and loved by hundreds of thousands of mums all over Australia and worldwide.

Hydration is an important aspect to focus on in order for your body to function and maintain optimal health.

Tips for The Healthy Mummy Challenge

Having completed a few of The Healthy Mummy Challenges over the last couple of years and still part of the community today, I thought I would share a few of the tips I have learned along the way. You can also check out The Healthy Mummy Challenges, where I review each week of the 12-week challenges and break down the week including the foods, workouts, and journey.

Eat Breakfast Every Day

Breakfast is an essential part of any healthy lifestyle. It helps kickstart your metabolism so you burn calories throughout the day.

It gives you the energy to keep going through the morning and by eating a healthy breakfast you are ensuring you get the nutrients your body needs for optimal health.

You could try having:

Eating a healthy breakfast each day is one of the best things you can do to improve your health.

Not only does eating a healthy breakfast help you lose weight, but it also boosts your mood, improves your memory, increases your energy levels, and keeps your blood sugar stable.

In fact, studies at Cornell University found that people who skip breakfast tend to crave more carbohydrates later in the day compared with test subjects who ate breakfast, as mentioned on Mr Breakfast.

Drink Water

Water is the number one drink recommended by doctors.

Drinking the recommended water intake can help you feel full longer, boost your metabolism, and flush out toxins.

Aim to drink at least eight glasses of water per day. If you find yourself feeling thirsty, then you need more than the recommended amount.

Cut Out Sugary Foods and Drinks

If you’re trying to lose weight or become healthier, then cutting back on sugar is one of the easiest ways to do so.

Sugary foods and drinks contain lots of empty calories and very little nutritional value.

They also cause spikes in insulin levels, which can lead to craving more food.

Don’t Skip Meals

Skipping meals will only make you feel hungrier later on and potentially lead to you eating an unhealthy meal.

Instead, try eating smaller portions throughout the day. This will help keep your metabolism up and prevent overeating at mealtime.

Plan and Organisation

I cannot stress enough how important staying organised is for living a healthy lifestyle.

When you are able to plan out your day, week, and month to ensure you have time for each task will ensure you don’t become overwhelmed.

Meal planning is also essential when trying to achieve a healthy balance.

Not only does meal planning help you plan your meals but it allows you to cook and prepare on the days you might not have time.

Final Thoughts – The Healthy Mummy Challenge

Life is crazy busy on most days. Trying to fit everything in can be a challenge in itself, but careful planning and helpful tools like joining programs and using an app can help simplify the process and help create good habits and routines.

As busy mums we often put ourselves last over our family. Having tools to help with achieving your family needs and also your goals can provide that extra layer of support and organisation to fit everything in.

I hope you enjoyed my Healthy Mummy Challenge review and tips and have taken away some of these to help implement them in your busy life.

I wish you all the best on your Healthy and Balanced Lifestyle journey.

You are amazing and You have got this!
